While giving information about "sister" collecting groups of interest to Gazette readers, let us not forget the upcoming convention of the International Perfume Bottle Association in Princeton, NJ., May 4-7. Location: Hyatt Regency Princeton. Two featured presentations star Carder-Steuben members, Bonnie Salzman (Elegant Depression Glass) and Janet Ziffer (UK Coronation & Jubilee Vanity Memorabilia). Many of the Saturday events are open to the public, including the Collectors' Flea Market, the Perfume Bottle and Vanity Show, "Perfume Alley" and a presentation on Collecting Perfume Bottles. Details can be found on the IPBA web site.
Hope to see you there!

The Journal of Antiques and Collectibiles, April 2017
A World Affair with Glass is the Publisher's Corner caption of this "issue which is devoted to the artistry and collectability of glass. Inside you'll read about the history of Dorflinger and cased glass, get the curators' insight into upcoming Tiffany glass exhibits at The Queens Museum and Corning Museum of Glass, learn about upcoming glass shows and conventions and find an extensive list of glass clubs and museums in our Glass Directory that welcome your interest. Thank you to the many glass clubs and museums who contribute to this special issue."
One of those detailed announcements of upcoming glass shows includes the International Perfume Bottle Association annual meeting identified by the Creech's above.
Some subjects included are an examination of collectible cased glass, shot glasses, The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Lamps, and a story labelled "Roland 'Max' Erlacher Master Glass Engraver" by Debbie Tarsitano, who has presented several times at the Carder Steuben Club annual Symposium.
Another story is entitled "Tiffany Mosaics at The Corning Museum of Glass". This exhibit runs from May 20, 2017 through January 7, 2018. Those attending the annual Carder Steuben Club symposium, co-sponsered with CMoG in September will have the opportunity to enjoy this exhibit.
And, so much more of glass collector interest.
