Hi Alan,

With Symposium time creeping closer, I thought I would send along this photo I took when I first started as an Ass. Curator at the Corning Museum. I was assigned a very large cataloging project, and the bonus was, and has always been, that my co worker was Paul Gardner. We spent numerous weeks working in an old storage area adjacent to the museum getting misc. Carder glass registered with collection numbers etc.. I must say that I have always felt fortunate to have been one of Paul's friends. David P. Donaldson, MFA of Florida

Steve Bender is the Steuben Business Manager for The Corning Museum of Glass. In 2012, Steve joined CMOG to assist with new business development and lead the re-launch of Steuben. His efforts to re-focus the luxury brand have resulted in a revitalized Steuben with a positive impact to the museum and the local economy.

At the Symposium Steve will provide an update on the Steuben brand and its relationship with The Corning Museum of Glass. He will also provide an overview of the crystal industry and the challenges and opportunities in todays consumer market.

Symposium registration information can be found below or at The registration deadline is September 1.

Symposium Program and Registration
