Opinion On Gifted Art Glass Gifted To Museums
Alan: I think one of the most disappointing and depressing things that the Gazelle Gazette has shown me in the display of the Olsen collection pieces, is how all of this beautiful collection is sitting in a storage building with many other pieces of Steuben and other types of glass.
Most of these donated pieces will never be displayed to the public. It makes me question why a museum would accept pieces they know will probably never be displayed to the public. In some ways these types of donations are the same as taking pieces off the collectible market and destroying them...
The Carder Steuben Upcoming Symposium program and registration materials are also on the Club's website.
